Key Staff: Simon Smethurst-McIntyre

Photo of Simon Smethurst-McIntyre Simon joined Equality Foundation in 2003 initially working on electronic learning but quickly moving to also deliver training and consultancy. Simon has worked with a large range of clients across both the public, private and not for profit sectors on classroom based training, e-learning and consultancy projects. Simon also delivers consultancy projects and training to clients in West Africa and has additional international experience working with clients in Europe.

Recent projects that Simon has led include:

  • Department for Work and Pensions: Consultancy support on the development of a new Diversity Intranet site and electronic learning solution
  • Guide Dogs for the Blind Association: Consultancy support on organisation wide Diversity agenda and delivery of diversity workshops
  • A3&O Media: Staff and management capacity building utilising Omoluwabi and complexity management principles and strategic consultancy support
  • Development of a custom electronic learning platform for the roll-out of generic and custom built e-learning products to EFL clients.
Additionally Simon has recently delivered diversity training to:
  • The Office of Government Commerce (OGC): Senior management Diversity Training
  • The National Centre for Policing Excellence (NCPE): Equality Impact Assessment Training
  • Slough Borough Council: Diversity Training as part of new staff induction
  • E.On (formely Powergen): Managing Diversity Training
Simon holds a Masters degree in Astrophysics from the University of Bristol and has studied the application of complex systems theory to organisational issues at the New England Complex Systems Institute at MIT. He works to apply his learned knowledge of complex systems to the world of Diversity and people/organisational management.
